How it works

From registration to receipt.

Four stops put a premise on the IGES round, and each one leaves a record the office can check.

The four steps

  1. Step 1: We register your premise

    An IGES officer visits, records the premise and its contact details, and captures its location on the map.

    • The officer records the premise and how to reach you.
    • The premise's location is captured on the map, so crews and the office can find it.
    • The billing cycle and collection schedule are agreed at the same visit.

  2. Step 2: A QR sticker goes on the gate

    The officer prints the premise's own QR sticker on the spot and fixes it at the gate before leaving.

    • Each sticker carries a QR code unique to the premise.

  3. Step 3: Crews collect on schedule

    Crews collect on the schedule agreed at registration, and each pick-up is recorded against the premise.

  4. Step 4: You pay and get a receipt

    Pay in cash, by MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money or bank transfer. Every payment is recorded and receipted.

Your sticker

Scan the gate, see your account.

Point a phone camera at the QR sticker on your gate and enter your PIN. Your account opens on the screen.

Crews and the office know exactly which premise a sticker belongs to.
Protected by a PIN
Your account opens only once the PIN is entered.

Billing and payment

Billing options and ways to pay.

Billing options

Monthly
One bill each month.
Quarterly
One bill every three months.
Annual
One bill for the year.
Per pick-up
Bring your waste to the truck and pay for that pick-up.
As per contract
Terms set out in a contract with the office.

Each payment is recorded against your premise, and you receive a receipt for it.
